Instagram Post: #CrossbarChallenge ⚽️ this past week was the first ‘good’ week i’ve had since quarantine season started! i thought i’d share a little bit about what i’ve done to look at this unforeseen (& unfortunate) situation humanity has found itself in, as positively as possible. i hope you derive some value out of this! 🌎 as a kid, i absolutely loved playing football in the evenings after school. despite that, i lost the motivation to focus on it in high school as i prioritized other things over it. i started playing again somewhat sporadically during my junior year at @cwru but never got very consistent about it - 📚 & 🍺 are to blame! now that i have what seems to be an ♾ amount of free time, i decided to list out the things i envision myself regularly doing 6 months from now and started adding them to my life right now 🎓 playing more football was one of the ‘priority’ items for me. so i started my first day back this past monday with light drills and moving onto harder ones on tuesday. on wednesday & thursday, i ran into @rodpulgaj (whose love for the game is incredibly infectious), and we kicked the ball around for what felt like hours - pure bliss! 😋 today (when these videos were taken) was my 5th day back at it! it was a more relaxed ‘passing the ball around’ kind of evening with @ryan_markers and it felt great; i can’t wait to be back on that field on monday! 😚 that was a lot of text, and if you read through it and made it this far i’m incredibly grateful! the one thing that i want you, dear reader, to take out of this is that in these dark times that we have found ourselves in, a lot of it is out of our control. i’m a big believer in mindset over everything, and i hope that you use this time to better yourself in whatever way you can and want to. the first step is always the hardest, but if i can do it, so can you! 🎈
