Frequently Asked Questions:
What is Digital Case?
Digital Case is Case Western Reserve's online source for curated digital content from University Archives, CWRU Special Collections, and Partner Institutions. With Digital Case, digital collections showcasing digitized photographs, audio recordings, rare books, manuscripts, and more are made openly available to public for viewing, downloading, and research purposes. The Kelvin Smith Library and teams associated within the digitization process provide digital curation expertise in the form of a set of services for access, distribution, and long-term preservation to enable open-access to these distinctive collections available within the digital library. For more information, view our Research Guide or contact us at digitalcase@case.edu.
Can I deposit my scholarly content and/or research with you?
In previous years, Digital Case also served as the institutional repository for CWRU, but this has since been moved to Scholarly Commons at Case Western Reserve University. You may submit your research or questions via email to our Scholarly Communication & Copyright Librarian (scholarlycomm@case.edu) who will be able to assist you. Thank you for your patience as we work through this transition. If you have materials currently in Digital Case, those materials will be moved to Scholarly Commons at Case Western Reserve University.
Can I download objects from Digital Case?
