Breaking the Barrier

This graphic piece is inspired by imagery of fighter jets piercing the sound barrier and the science behind that process. As pressure builds progressively at the front of the jet, a cone is formed, which is effectively "pierced" when the jet breaks the sound barrier. This successive process, depicted in my piece, relates to the form of my favorite jet, the F-16.
