In it, Richard Henderson, town clerk of Glasgow, transferred lands located in Mearns parish in the county of Renfrewshire. In an earlier deal, Henderson borrowed £600 sterling against three of his properties from Clark. The lands include a 33 shilling and 4 penny land of over Middleton; a 33 shilling and 4 penny land of nether Middleton; and a 3 pound, 6 shilling, and 8 penny land of old extent also of Middleton. The registration of the sasine on August 12, 1806, officially transferred ownership of the land to Clark. Pound, shilling and penny are used as measurement terms not as price. The sasine was presented at Glasgow on the 47-49 leaves of Frederick Dotheringham and Robert Hill 34th book of the particular Register of Sasines kept at Glasgow for the Shire of Renfrew and Regality.Collection of Documents with United Kingdom Connections
