Show moreThe Horticultural Building at the Great Lakes Exposition in Cleveland is one of the finest and most beautiful Exposition attractions. The building is three stories in height, and is designed like the forward deck of an ocean liner with three separate levels of outdoor terraces. Entrance is at the top deck. Its 201,000 square feet of exhibit space houses transient flower shows and an ever-changing series of special events. Surrounding the building are the finest outdoor gardens in America Preservation note; "Rossen 86-A" penciled on back of card. This project occupies 7 1/2 acres and contains more than 100 structures. The entrance is built along the lines of a quaint European Castle, and inside is found the transplanted life, color, gay activities of about two-score nationality groups from Continental Countries, the Orient, and the Tropics.
