Consists of a number of spliced segments relating to the Great Lakes Exposition showing opening day, Goodyear Day, office workers from US Commissioner’s office, Vitales Band & US Troops from Ft. Benjamin Harrison; Crile Day Ceremonies, Arrival of Secretary Wallace; Grotto Circus Parade; parades in downtown Cleveland and on exposition grounds. Includes 9 minute sequence shot at exposition on lakefront in Chicago PRESERVATION NOTE: Sticker on container: “Film Acc 37”. Housed in round metal container. Handwritten on a torn label in the center of the exterior of the top of the container: “AH ZyChick 258 Leader Bldg Cleveland, Ohio” Written in green marker around the top exterior center of the lid: “CLEVELAND BOWN 1964” Film is 16 mm, with rectangular sprocket perforations only on one side of the film’s outer edge, and is wound on a grey metal reel, 13 ¾” diameter . Has odor of mothballs when opened. On a red sticker in the center of the reel, printed in white letters: “TWYMAN FILMS, INC. Dayton, Ohio 45401. Please do not rewind.” Other writing on the label is missing sections of text. The leader is creased in 2 places; film appears to be strong and in-tact

Documents the opening of the Great Lakes Exposition; diving performance in pool; general views of exposition grounds from higher ground in downtown Cleveland PRESERVATION NOTE: 2 penciled stickers on lid of container: “38-A”. Housed in a round metal container. Film is wound on a grey plastic 7” reel. Smelled like moth balls when the container was first opened. Reel has 4 stickers: In center, penciled: 38-a”. On edges: “Property of the Western Reserve” “Historical Society” “(216)721-5722 x.245”. Film is 16mm with rectangular sprocket perforations on both sides of the film’s outer edges. The leader strip has a brown stain (approx. 1/8” thick, varies) running continuously along length of at least the first portion of the strip. Film appears stable and in-tact
